As a key component of the smartphone tablet, the storage device directly relates to the cost of the whole machine. Throughout the development of NAND Flash, each process change will bring new application opportunities, and the storage devices around NAND Flash will appear in any form. ? What is the difference between them? How should we deal with the shortage?

Three forms of storage devices in smartphones The mainstream smartphone CPU and storage devices in the market are roughly divided into three types: one is CPU with MCP; the other is CPU with EMMC plus LPDDR; the third is CPU with EMCP. So what is the difference between them?
1. CPU with MCP The MCP currently used for mobile communication is mainly composed of SRAM, PSRAM, DRAM and NAND Flash. NAND Flash is used for data storage, and SRAM, PSRAM, and DRAM are used as cache or working memory. Belongs to an earlier smartphone configuration.
2, CPU with EMMC plus LPDDR Xiaomi 2 is the combination of this form, because the mobile phone CPU and LPDDR are superimposed, so we only see one chip in the picture. A smart phone is equivalent to a small PC. In addition to the CPU, it also needs a "hard disk" for storage. EMMC takes this responsibility in the smart phone. It integrates the main control with NAND Flash, and manages Flash through the internal master control. In this way, the CPU can no longer worry about compatibility issues for Flash to continuously update the process.
3, CPU with EMCP, structurally speaking, EMCP is a higher-order storage device than EMMC, it integrates EMMC and LPDDR, reducing the size of the circuit and reducing the circuit link design, mainly used in thousands of dollars Above the smartphone. At present, mainstream mobile phone CPUs on the market support both EMMC and EMCP, such as Qualcomm's APQ8064 and MTK's MT6577\MT8377.
